[link] All I can say is, thanks so much! I am eternally grateful. When I first got started at deviantART, I had the distinct impression that I was not good enough to be seen with all these fine people. With practice and time, a lot of that has changed. I'm starting to see my major mistakes vanish and be replaced with imagination and invention. I'm not there yet, but I'm getting there and I really believe that a lot of it has to do with the amazing artists and inspirations I surround myself with here.
Trees are quite important to me. I paint them constantly and even when I'm painting something else, they appear in pictures anyway. There is something ageless, primordial about them that really gets me. Major stories hang on the balance of trees. What would Little Red Riding Hood be without the trees in the story? Or Wizard of Oz? Or Hansel and Gretel?
They are the balance, the moment, the atmosphere and the wisdom. I love painting them. Over and over and over again.
